Indirect carbon emissions
The CO2 EPIQR+ method can now be used to assess, calculate and integrate indirect carbon emissions linked to construction, renovation scenarios, etc.

Drawing up exhaustive and reliable life cycle assessments for renovation projects

The software combines its database of building components and its calculation method with official Swiss (KBOB) and European (Ecoinvent, INIES) building ecobalance data.
The EPIQR+ CO2 calculation is based on the eco-balance framework and method defined in the SIA 2032 technical specifications, an official and trusted reference in Switzerland. The study framework covers all the elements of the renovation, including replacements.
The material and energy flows during the construction, replacement and disposal phases of the renovation are as close to reality as possible, thanks to careful consideration of the construction principles used.
The CO2 EPIQR+ option now makes it possible, on a single platform, to establish :
- A quick and reliable assessment of the carbon emissions of your CECB scenarios
- Simulations of the low-carbon potential of renovations, offering up to 3 possible variants per project
- A pre-diagnosis of the reusable elements of the renovated building and estimating the CO2 emissions saved by implementing a reuse strategy
